Extreme Sewing: For the ‘Macho’ Trimmer

September 13, 2012 By Nadeem Muaddi

YouTube user ScubaNomad63 wants everyone to know that just because he sews, doesn’t mean he isn’t macho. To prove it, he’s uploaded a video of himself operating a sewing machine rigged to run on a 3.5L V8 engine – pumping 150 BHP!

ScubaNomad63 prefaces the video with the following words: “Some people say that sewing isn’t a very macho hobby, I hope this video will go some way to change this sexist attitude.”

I say mission accomplished, though I still prefer my Servo Motor.

That’s pretty nifty. Nothing like complete excess to make us feel good about ourselves. lol.

Was that a marine engine? The belching water out the exhaust is either normal or there’s going to be new head gaskets in the offing really soon.

I felt the stitching was a little sluggish off the line, but the top end was a blast. LOL HA HA

It’s gonna be mighty tough to tell when the bobbin thread is getting low with all that noise in the background!
