Haartz Recasts Soft Tops with Forte’

September 15, 2014 By Nadeem Muaddi

Haartz Corporation, the auto industry’s leading manufacturer of convertible topping material, continues its long history of innovation with its latest offering, Fortè — the next generation in aftermarket soft-top fabric.

Featuring a 100 percent polyester backing, Fortè provides superior strength and stability, as well as enhanced acoustics within the cabin. No competing material comes close.

“The Forte’ material is a significant upgrade in performance from the incumbent cotton- and PET/cotton-backed materials that Haartz has offered the aftermarket over the years,” Matt Williams, director of business development for Haartz, told The Hog Ring.

“While Haartz has offered 100% PET-backed materials to the aftermarket for some time now, the market now appears ready for widespread adoption and Haartz was ready with Forte’.”

And while Fortè complies with OEM standards, it has been specifically engineered for aftermarket applications.

“It’s offered in the widest range of colors/grains of any 100% PET-backed product available today,” explained Williams. Fortè is available in a range of colors and grains, including twill, cabrio, sailcloth and pinpoint.

“Most notable of the textures is the Twill grain where we offer 8 colors with the most realistic reproduction of a cloth outer layer in a PVC topping on the market today,” said Williams.

Of course, as an aftermarket product, Forte’ can be used as a replacement or design enhanced-top for all makes and models.

Make no mistake about it, Fortè is an industry changer. It will soon become the standard in aftermarket convertible top fabric.
