I helped my mom with a couple seats about 25 years ago and decided to do my own upholstery for my truck I'm restoring.

With the help of this site and youtube tutorials I just repaired a 111w15G singer that bought for $100. It had been sitting on a back porch for 12 years.

There's a couple of areas that Id do different but Im happy with the way it turned out for the first attempt at changing the seat foam and making my own pattern.

Good start Dustin! Try tightening up the pattern to avoid wrinkles.

Just finished these two seats. Started with only a seat pan and created both the foAm base and seat cover. Not perfect, but learning tons with each new project.

Hello!
I'm brand new to the Hogring. I'm glad I found it.
This is my first post.
Here is my first project ever.
I've reupholstered a drag boat seat for a friend. I learned a lot that I would do differently the next time. He was happy with it.

Very nice work Jason! What are you using to etch the leather?

Thanks, i bought a co2 laser machine, it has a 500mm x 700mm bed size, will cut or engrave on any non metallic material (but will etch anodised aluminium - as i have done macbook covers)

yes its pretty cool, subtle too which is why people like it i think, on smooth leather if you set the power low enough it will perminantly draw on the surface - up the power and it wll engrave it or cut through depending how its set, quite a cool machine
