I have an all white interior coming up. I trying to find something that i can use to draw my designs on the white vinyl that wont stain the white thread when i wipe the marks off. I've tried different methods the past but they always stains the white thread. I plan to use the White 270 thread on snow white vinyl. Any suggestions?

Full white interior?! That is one child free, tidy customer. I use a Fisher R8 silver ink pen. There are two more letters and or numbers after the R8, but unfortunately I can't quite make them out anymore. Possibly RS?! Not sure if that matters anyway, but it works great, stays put and then comes off when I put some leather conditioner on at the end of the job. It was given to me by a Mennonite saddle maker I bought leather studs off, I believe he said he gets them from a shoe making buddy. Sorry this is not more helpful. hopefully you could track some down on good old Google or someone else will chime in.

I've used yellow or light colored colred pencils on white vinyl...vinyl only...and then use a small ammount of wd40 to clean it right off...but test a small spot first..most don't but occasionally I get a white vinyl that wd40 will gloss up or leave a halo around..most are ok though

The Fisher silver ink pen is the way to go for marking leather and vinyl.

When working with white vinyl the best thing you can use to draw is a No.2 Pencil. The line is razor thin, will never smudge or stain, and after sewing over your mark it will disappear and you won't even have to wipe it off.

Stay away from china markers they will definitely stain your thread.

Try a Fisher Space Pens SR80SL Silver Colored Ink Space Pen Carded. You can clean it off with Windex or soap and water. Every upholstery shop need a few of these around the shop.

I agree with you Naseem, I also always used a #2 pencil.
