Post Having sewing machine troubles

I have a consew 206-rb5 that is roughly 2 months old. The machine sews perfectly on let's say softer materials including anything on scrim foam and softer materials that have a little bit of squish to em. I never have to adjust the tension or anything like that, but whenever I sew on anything firm at all such as plastic backed carpeting or even just trying to sew up simple seams it acts like the tension is all out of whack and leaves small loops on the underside. I know that loops on the underside generally means loose upper thread tension but even if I make adjustments the finished product looks just like it did before I touched anything. I have been dealing with this for a little while now and can't even begin to tell you how frustrating it is. I can be sending out sub standard work, so any input/advice will be greatly appreciated.

I've been coming across the same problem lately with my Consew 225. When I'm stitching the french seam, and along the way little areas arent getting pulled together and not sure what needs to be done.

Yeah I have tried tightening the bobbin tension and had no success. I can have the tension adjusted so tight on the upper thread that it's almost impossible to pull it just to see if it even changes at all, but when I do that it doesn't look any different than before I made any adjustments. I have it threaded correctly according to the manual, but even when I make any sort of adjustments I'm getting the same exact results as if I didn't touch anything. This is by far the biggest frustration for me whenever my machine isn't working correctly. If anybody has any input or advice about this problem, please help. Maybe if someone can post a pic of a consew threaded correctly just to make sure everything is right that would be great.

Are you sure you have correct routing from the spool all the way to the needle?

You didn't tell us what size thread you were using and if you have the flat foot on it or a cording foot.

I'm almost certain that I have the correct path from the spool to the needle according to the manual amyways. I'm using #69 nylon tread and I use both the flat foot an the welt foot. The results are still the same with either foot. This little problem I'm having is plaguing me and put a standstill on producing any work worth releasing to the customers.

Having the same issue with my 206RB-1. I'm using Sunguard Poly thread though with a flat foot. Same damn big loop in the bottom of my work. Hopefully someone has an answer for you

wouldn’t you loosen the tension on the bobbin so it doesn’t pull down so hard? also i had a buddy that had been sewing for 10 years and always had tension problems turns out he was loading the bobbin in incorrectly. make sure the bobbin spins clockwise when you pull the string through the bobbin casing. also you can try putting it back in time from the silver button on the bed and run the machine backwards by hand until it clicks into place. i have the same machine. mine likes to bust threads on backstitches. i hate that machine. im getting a fancy juki here in a week or two whenever it comes in. i will never buy a consew ever again. good luck
