those are stock ford truck panels. I was able to wrap it in one piece, but it was a pain, had a couple areas I wasnt happy with. Should have done it in two pieces. The work on the lower section was done with abs.

My first steering wheel retrim. It's not for a job. It's a show piece for my potential customers. Might re do it and make it better.

The stitching looks solid. Its a great show wheel to make look good because you dont have to go up the spokes and the spokes are metal so its a completely different material. Not to mention; aluminum and black leather together always look sweet...

Cheers leather seats. I'm gona rip that leather off. Polish the spokes to a mirror shine and redo it then hang it on my wall for customers to see. I'm assuming my stitching being solid is a good thing?

My stitching is something I want to improve on.

Yeah solid is good. It means that it is a solid quality product that is definitely a value to customers to purchase. From what I can see, it looks very uniform and well-laced.

Heres a few pics of are last big project, crap pics im afraid, dam iphone!

Quite a interesting one, the job was to fully retrim a merc sprinter van that had been built as a one of for The Sultan of Brunei, apparently the van was built so he could watch the camel racing in the comfort of his own van/palace!

As you can image with a limitless budget and a customer with high demands the van is pretty trick! as it was built by the AMG stable thay have access to the mercedes benz parts bin so could pinch stuff from the high end cars.

this is how the van started life

http://www.supercars.net/gallery/129612/976/681434small.jpg

Then it got painted black (great rolling stone song!)the seat centres where changed to black alcantara with red piping and black carpet.

and this is where we picked it up with its new owner who wonted to put his mark on it and update it as i believe it was built in 2004.

As mentioned the van is pretty trick, some of the list of stuff goes....
Separate Air con for the rear (not of the engine)piped in air craft style via vents in the roof
separate heater that runs of the engine to separate units in the back, piping hot air under the seats in the rear
electric step up plate from under the van
electric sliding side door
electric sliding bulk head door
electric sliding drinks cabnet
fridge
it has a flip key which when flipped unlocks the van, when shut locks the van which i assume was taken from a high end merc
6 fully adjustable electric recaro seats
tuned 4 pot super charged engine
And various bits and bobs taken from higher end mercs

The first job was to remove the diesel powered air con unit that took up masses of space in the back in fact the last 2 1/2 feet of the van was dedicated to the unit, this was changed to a new unit which took up less than half the space (up top) leaving room for bags etc down below

how it looked
http://www.supercars.net/gallery/129612/976/570033small.jpg

next mission was to strip the van, and by god was it a mission! in true AMG, german style and with that blank cheque thay cut no corners and the build quality is truly AMAZING!

nothing a hammer could'nt sort out lol

Once all stripped out (via hammer lol) it was time to trim in full leather (top to bottom) and alcantara (roof) with black carpets as said there poor pics but here you go...

TV was added
Image
flip down was added

a few things need adjusting/tweeking as expected like the flip up tv is'nt lifting up flush now (not our job)and a few bits of damage need addressing again not are fault

We did have some issues though.....

I'll bet you had some issues! But that's one hell of a great job, fit for a President or a King, let alone a Sultan! Kudos!

here's my latest work...it's not so custom though...factory with a twist I guess lol...

these seats were originally all black and the customer wanted them redone off white with a red cord and red top stitching...so that's what I gave him...he's been by to check on them after I got the doors panels done and he liked what he saw...I got the back seat done today and gonna go start on the two front buckets now...

Image

These are the same door panels I built for the tutorial

and this is really the only thing I hate about doing old seats...generally speaking 1 out of every 3 is going to be rat infested and you'll find a rat's nest in it...this came out of the rear bench seat and of course I had to redo the cushion on the back completely and had to add to the cushion foam

Beautiful work from everybody. Eastside, killer dashes and door panels!. Too much speaker for my taste but I do love the way fit in the doors.

Stitch, nice clean lines! Hard to do on those rear quarters. Especially red on white!?! Very straight! Nice.

thanks aunc...I appreciate it...here's the finished seats...mind you the front buckets are unlevel because the seat tracks are unlevel to fit the car...the seat covers themselves are very straight...and those are seat medallions like I put in my street rod interiors...these seats are for a 1965 Bonneville convertible, but the guy wanted them a little custom so I did the seats a little different than factory and put the medallions in the seats instead of the factory rectangular buttons

Thanks.
Here is one of mu Favourites. This was completed 2 years ago. Whole car was finished without the use of a sewing machine.
Everything was made to piece together og glue in in several pieces.
Even the seats were kustom made to fit and piece together.
All then covered in leather with embossing everywhere.
What do you guys think??
