Custom Bentley Continental GT by Vilner

September 3, 2013 By Nadeem Muaddi

Auto Upholstery - The Hog Ring - Vilner Bentley Continental GT

Now that Labor Day is past, what better way to kick off a new working week than with an inspirational video by one of our all-time favorite vehicle interior design studios, Vilner?

Check out how they transform the cabin of this Bentley Continental GT – a car already amazing in it’s own right – to an all-out masterpiece.

The video is a tad dramatic, I know. But they do such great work it’s hard to fault them.

The vertical lines, the horizontal lines and the slanted lines done by the sewing machine in the different parts of the upholstery, resemble the beautiful drawing traced before on a piece of paper or on the computer by the designer. Undoubtedly a work of art in a car interior!!!

They do some lovely work for sure! They also have the right tools for the job! Around the 35 second mark you can see them running a pipping into channels in the door card, this is done by a twin stitch machine that cuts and pipes the salvage allowing you to feed it into the door card channels for a perfect line.

I think its tacky. ugly for the sake of art. like most of vilners stuff. the work looks good in these overly dramatic photos and edited films, but there’s no reason for such a busy interior.
