Shop Profile: Mr. Sid’s Fine Auto Upholstery

February 25, 2016 By Nadeem Muaddi

Auto Upholstery - The Hog Ring - Mr Sids Fine Upholstery

If you’re into shop profiles as much as we are, check out The Denver Post, which recently published a short Q&A with Sid Lopatin, owner of Mr. Sid’s Fine Auto & RV Upholstery in Northglenn, Colorado.

The interview highlights everything from how Sid got his start in the craft to some of the biggest challenges he faces as a small business owner. We particularly liked his answer to the question: “What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?”

Many of my customers have told me that I am the only person who really showed interest and took all the time that was needed to help them. Also, I will not bad mouth another company. We are all trying to make a living. I tell them to go with who they believe will do the best job for them. With that said, we do a good job — always to the best of our abilities — and we take care of our customers after the job is done. I have three full-time trimmers and myself. That is 140 years of experience.

That’s exactly the type of attitude among shops that we hope to foster here on The Hog Ring.
