The Hog Ring - NIO Sets a High Bar for Self-Driving Cars

While other automakers compete to see who can stuff more useless gizmos in the cabin of a self-driving car, NIO just unveiled the most gorgeous interior yet.

The NIO Eve doesn’t feature an in-car garden, funky layout, gaudy fabrics or confusing gadgets. Instead, it has a simple, modern design comprised of premium materials, a classy palette of colors and excellently crafted seats.

More importantly, it looks like a place I can relax — not be expected to perform yoga.

Here’s the Jochen Paesen, the Chinese automaker’s interior design director, talking about the interior:
