WTF Does this Upholstery Shop Sign Mean?

September 26, 2018 By Nadeem Muaddi

The Hog Ring - WTF Does this Upholstery Shop Sign Mean

This has to be the strangest sign for an auto upholstery shop we’ve ever seen…

Complete Auto Upholstering’s shop sign features a little boy with his pants down and butt fully exposed. He’s clutching a teddy bear while staring at a newly upholstered bench seat.

A photo of the sign was posted on Reddit under the category “WTF.” Now everyone’s trying to figure out what it means.

Some redditors have theorized that it’s a bizarre take on the classic Coppertone girl ad. Others came up with less innocent ideas. But we think it probably has a really cool story behind it.

Curious what that story is, we tried locating Complete Auto Upholstering. Turns out there’s only one business by that name. It was located in Pueblo, Colorado, but has since been shuttered and phone disconnected.

So the mystery continues…

If anyone knows the story behind this strange shop sign, please share it with us in the comments section below. We’re dying to know!

I don’t think the business in Pueblo is it, If you take the google address and street view the building it is brick not sheet metal.
