Did you know that this year’s MasterTech Expo is offering an entire educational track on car interiors?
Hell yeah! The “Master Interiors” track is geared toward professional auto trimmers already kicking ass in the craft, but wanting to take their work to the next level.
The track will consist of four learning sessions, where experts will teach high-end concepts and techniques, as well as provide hands-on learning opportunities with the latest tools and technology. Of course, they’ll also answer all your burning questions.
The four sessions include:
Session 1: Modern Design — You’ll learn how to design custom interiors that command premium pricing. Instructor: Jeremy Carlson of Avant-Garde Design.
Session 2: Seats & Foam — You’ll pick up expert tips and tricks on metal framing, foam shaping and advanced sewing techniques to design premium automotive seats. Instructor: Phil Cato of Cato’s Custom Upholstery.
Session 3: Advanced Patterning — You’ll discover the secrets behind creating complex patterns, and even get some hands-on training with the latest state-of-the-art equipment. Instructor: Phil Cato.
Session 4: Advanced Stitching — You’ll learn sophisticated sewing strategies that add interest and appeal to your work, helping your shop stand out among competitors. Instructor: Steve Ingram of Rivian.
This educational track — sponsored by NC Carpet Binding & Machinery, Apex Leather, Cato’s Custom Upholstery, Avant-Garde Design and JK Automotive Designs — is a rare opportunity to join other successful trimmers from across the United States to share skills and collectively grow in the craft of auto upholstery.
It’s one of several educational tracks offered at MasterTech Expo, the industry’s premier event for pros to learn custom fabrication trends, tools and techniques. Other tracks include Master Fab, High Fidelity Sound and Sales, among others.
The event will take place Mach 3 – 6, 2024 at the Mesa Convention Center in Mesa, Arizona. It’s a must-attend industry event for anyone serious about taking their work and business to the next level.
