This Bentley Features a 200 Million Year Old Material

The Hog Ring - This Bentley Features a 200 Million Years Old Material 3

It’s a rock. Just a rock.

But apparently Bentley Motors believes it’s a super luxury flex.

The automaker’s “Expression of Texture” series, which includes a collection of four Continental GT Speed Convertibles, includes “wafer thin 200-million-year-old stone veneers,” according to a press release.

The stone veneer is available in slate, autumn and copper colors. And although it’s just a rock, Bentley calls a “masterclass in subtle sophistication.”

Ok… but again, it’s just a rock.

The stone trim looks cool, for sure. But we’re confused about what makes it exciting. Aren’t all rocks really old?

Anyway, it’s not even a new idea. In 2016, Bentley introduced a vehicle that’s veneers were chiseled out of slate and quartzite deposits, which were also said to be formed roughly 200 million years ago.

Whatever.
