The Hog Ring - Trim Shop Owner Amanda Lou Maynard Dies at 84

Trim shop owner Amanda Lou Maynard of Virginia Beach, Virginia, has died at age 84.

Amanda was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, but relocated with her family to Virginia when she was a child.

Her father, Wilbur A. Maynard, was the founder of Maynard’s Auto Glass and Upholstery in Norfolk, where Amanda worked most of her life as a bookkeeper. She became a co-owner of the business after her father died.

When she wasn’t in the shop, Amanda enjoyed traveling and shopping, as well as visiting with friends and family.

Sadly, Amanda died on March 19th, 2025. She is survived by Dale Schoener, Lynn Hathaway, Debbie Waldrop, Dean Forbes, and their families.

May she Rest in Peace.
