For an industry that thrives on design and innovation, having the right parts for a custom build is let’s just say, critical! Well, getting that perfect blue, green, or even purple leather just got a lot easier with the announcement of Apex Leather’s new Custom Color Program.
The Program is pretty simple — send Apex a swatch of something you want to match (leather, vinyl, paint, etc.) and they will make an 8”x10” strike-off/sample of your custom color for your approval. Once approved, the leather will go into production with a total turnaround time of just 3-4 weeks. Better yet, the leather will be made right here in the United States using premium U.S. hides.
“At every car show, there are always a few builds that have that extra something special,” says Vice President of Apex, Jen Fedor. “A custom colored leather that blends seamlessly with the rest of the build’s elements can be that special ingredient.”
With unlimited color options on the table, shops can cook up just about any color, and Apex is ready for the challenge.
According to Fedor, you can even customize your leather’s sheen level with matte, medium or gloss options. Need a little more bling? Several metallic and pearlized options are also available. Of course, because it is Apex Leather, a custom color option will likely cost less than what other companies charge for a standard color.
