Trimmer James Lloyd Wheeler of Ridgeway, Missouri, has died at age 75.
James was born on July 27, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated from Lawson High School in 1967.
He owned and operated J’s Auto Trim and Upholstery Shop. “When it came to restoring old hot rods, he was a pro,” his obituary says. “People came from all over just for his amazing work.”
James also worked for more than 22 years at Johnson Controls, one of the world’s leading suppliers of vehicle interiors.
In his free time, James was an avid race fan of Thunder Valley Drag Way in nearby Bethany.
Sadly, James died on June 12, 2025. He is survived by his daughter, Angela Clevenger; grandsons, Kyle, Marek and Lance Pasieniuk, and Cody Clevenger; great grandkids, Remi and Rosie; and step children, Derek Minter, Lexy and Jeremy Christopherson.
