Trimmer Douglas D. Kasten of Penrose, Colorado, has died at age 90.
Douglas was born on June 6, 1935 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, and grew up on a farm near La Crescent, Minnesota.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1957 as a mechanic and crew chief on KC-97 refuelers in the 71st ARS. In 1961, after completing his service, Douglas earned a theology degree from Bible College in Springfield, Missouri.
He later went on to open a furniture and auto upholstery shop, which he ran for 30 years.
According to his obituary, Douglas enjoyed listening to music, playing the hammered dulcimer, dancing and writing. Of course, he also loved spending time with his six children and 11 grandchildren.
Sadly, Douglas died on August 17, 2025. May he Rest in Peace.
