Miami Madness is Back: Enter Your Best Upholstery Work

January 28, 2026 By Naseem Muaddi

The Hog Ring - Miami Madness is Back: Enter Your Best Upholstery Work

Break out your best project photos, because Miami Corporation’s 2026 Miami Madness Photo Contest is officially underway!

Miami Madness has become a favorite annual showdown in the upholstery industry, giving shops of all sizes a chance to put their best work in front of thousands of peers and customers. Whether you’ve been in the craft for 30 years or just starting out, this contest is built to spotlight skill at every level.

Enter today for your chance to gain industry-wide recognition and win some prize money!

Five Submission Categories

This year’s competition includes five categories:

  1. Awning
  2. Marine Upholstery
  3. Marine Topping
  4. Home Upholstery
  5. Automotive Upholstery

Each category will crown its own winner. Shops can submit one entry per category, which means there are more chances to win for shops that work across different segments. The only requirement is that the project must be made using Miami-purchased fabric and/or vinyl materials.

Entering is easy. Just submit a photo of your completed project through Miami’s contest page.

The submission period starts on January 15 and ends March 2.

How March Madness Works

Once submissions close, the entries will qualify for brackets by popular vote. Then the contest shifts to actual bracket mode — and this is where things get exciting.

Projects will be placed into head-to-head matchups, and the public will vote to decide who advances. Matchups are created using a random generator, so there’s no predicting who you’ll be up against. In other words, the road to the top can get very interesting, very fast.

Voting is limited to one vote per person per round, and all votes are handled through Woobox software, not Miami. That keeps things fair and square as projects battle their way through the brackets.

The Prize

The winner of each category will receive a $500 credit on their Miami account, but the real value for many shops is the exposure.

Miami Madness puts your work in front of a huge audience across the upholstery, marine, and automotive trim industries. It’s a chance to show peers and customers what you’re capable of, build your portfolio, and earn some serious bragging rights if your project makes a deep run.

Submit Your Photo Today!

If you’ve completed a project recently that really shows what your shop can do, this is the perfect time to share it. Miami Madness only comes once a year, and the brackets will be filling up fast.

Just remember, your entry has to be submitted before March 2.
