MasterTech Expo is adding another heavy hitter to its 2026 education lineup: automotive designer Ben Hermance.
Hermance will lead Master Design Training – Session 1 during MasterTech Expo 2026, happening March 12–15 at the Mesa Convention Center in Mesa, Arizona. The session will focus on advanced professional 3D rendering and design workflow for automotive design and custom builds.
Bryan Schmitt, founder, CEO, and president of Mobile Solutions, says Hermance’s background bridges the gap between artistic design and actual production.
“Ben brings to MasterTech his renowned experience working with industry-leading builders, fabrication shops, and global aftermarket brands, blending artistic creativity with real-world engineering and production design,” Schmitt said. “This new training track gives attendees rare insight into professional-level vehicle concept development, digital design strategy, and turning ideas into build-ready reality.”
For interior fabricators and upholstery pros, that “build-ready” mindset matters. A flashy rendering is nice for social media. But a well-thought-out digital design that accounts for materials, structure, and installation is what saves time, money, and frustration in the shop.
Hermance’s experience spans work with top builders as well as fabrication, paint, and interior shops, along with major aftermarket brands worldwide. Organizers say his approach stays consistent whether the project is a personal art piece or a high-end custom vehicle: equal parts creativity and precision.
“If you’re into next-level custom design, smart engineering, and turning ideas into jaw-dropping reality, you won’t want to miss this opportunity…only at MasterTech Expo,” Schmitt said.
MasterTech Expo is the industry’s premier training and networking event, bringing together professionals from across the aftermarket automotive electrical, upholstery, fabrication, design, and automation segments.
If you’ve attended before, you already know MasterTech isn’t a typical trade show where you walk the floor collecting brochures. It’s a hands-on, skill-building experience built around real-world techniques taught by working industry experts. Attendees don’t just watch — they learn processes they can bring back to the shop and put into action immediately.
