Trimmer Evan James Benedict of Youngstown, Ohio, has died at age 68.
Evan was born on September 12, 1957, in Youngstown. He was a talented upholsterer, dedicating many years to his craft working on car seats, furniture and other items. “Evan was known for his skilled hands and strong work ethic,” his obituary says.
In his free time, Evan enjoyed collecting and preserving old photographs and record albums.
Sadly, Evan died on February 1, 2026. He is survived by his children, Evan J. Cleland, Alahana Ashman, and Beatrice Renee McMahon; six grandchildren; siblings, Dale Bletso, Pamela Renee Weaver, Colleen May Dodson, and Denise Gail Congemi; his special friend, Jeanine Bonilla; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
