Local newspaper Florida Today recently profiled A&E Auto Upholstery and Canvas, a 52-year-old shop that’s been in the Hayes family for three generations. The profile, a short Q&A touching on everything from the family’s business philosophy to hopes for the future, is definitely worth a read — if not to learn something new, then to see how similar all our shops really are.

“Be courteous, do good work, and watch your business finances, and you’ll do fine. Customer service is the main thing, I think. If you don’t please the people, they’re not coming back.”
