Hot Outside? Bake Dashboard Cookies

June 22, 2012 By Nadeem Muaddi

When the temperature outside hits 95°F, a car’s interior transforms into an oven – reaching as high as 200°F. For auto trimmers, who spend a large portion of the day stuck working inside cars, it can feel like we’re being baked alive.

Today, though, I refuse to let the sun get the best of me. If I’m going to have to suffer heat exhaustion and the embarrassment of a farmer’s tan, then I might as well get something out of it too. That’s why I’m trying my hand at baking dashboard cookies.

I know it sounds ridiculous. But to keep sane, you sometimes have to do ridiculous things – especially when your shop isn’t air conditioned. Besides, cookies – for me at least – are a real morale booster.

To bake along with me, check out this cool how-to video by Howcast:

Who knows? If all goes well, I might even try making bacon and eggs next week.

Only when more misses the mouth than makes it in! How long did the scent linger in the car?
