Eissmann Automotive, a German auto supplier, is expanding its plant in Alabama — including new jobs!
The company, which manufactures interior components for the likes of Mercedes-Benz and Audi, is investing $3.4 million into new equipment for a new production line at its facility in Pell City. It will also hire 79 people to support the operation.
“Eissmann Automotive Group’s decision to expand their facility in St. Clair County is wonderful for our citizens and community,” County Commission Chairman Stan Batemon said in a news release. “It is always beneficial to both our community and the company when higher paying jobs with more advanced technology are announced. This is a testament both to the company’s ability to produce a great product and the faith they have in St. Clair County’s workforce.”
Eismann Automotive Plant Director Tracy Breeding said the company is “very pleased” to work with Pell City, the county commission, and the state’s Department of Commerce.
“They have been wonderful partners as we continue to invest in Pell City to provide quality service and products to our valued customers,” Breeding said.
Alabama Senator Lance Bell also welcomed the news: “St. Clair County and the State of Alabama are very fortunate to have Eissmann Automotive Group expand in our community. We applaud them for their success in capturing the business necessary for this expansion and we are excited that they are growing as an important part of the state’s automotive supply chain.”
Look out for the jobs to be posted soon on Eissmann Automotive’s website.
