The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ has a problem — its headliner squeaks.
General Motors recently issued a service update for the all-electric luxury SUV. It says the headlining trim retainers around the sunroof and near the cargo door may not be secured properly, causing squeaking and rattling while driving.
To correct the issue, dealers are instructed to replace eight trim retainers: six around the sunroof and two are near the cargo door. After doing so, the headliner should stop squeaking.
The service update impacts all new, used and GM Certified Pre-Owned models, as well as courtesy transportation and demonstration vehicles. Escalade IQ owners have until December 31, 2027 to have the repair done free of charge.
Hopefully they’re all notified in time, because nothing sucks more than a squeaky interior.
