
Trimmer Tyler Kent Hamilton of Abilene, Texas has died at age 72.
Tyler was born on July 14, 1953 in Graham, Texas, and graduated from Abilene High School in 1971. He attended Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Alabama, and University of Texas-El Paso.
Tyler owned and operated an auto upholstery shop in Abilene and “was widely considered the best trim man in town,” his obituary says. “If you knew Tyler, chances are you spent time at his shop which became a second home to friends and family.”
In his off time, Tyler enjoyed waterskiing, pole vaulting, snow skiing, hunting, Texas history, ZZ Top, Jethro Tull and Mickey Mantle. He was a fan of the Cowboys, Spurs, Yankees, and Longhorns.
Sadly, Tyler died on January 16, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Hamilton; mother, Dee Hamilton; daughters, Rebecca Mackiewicz and Molly Sharp; grandson, Tyler Sharp; granddaughters, Baylee and Kaitlyn Mackiewicz, Clara and Penelope Sharp; brothers, Tim Hamilton and Stan Hamilton; sister, DeeDee Hamilton; sisters-in-law, Sarah Hamilton and Cozette Hamilton; and numerous friends and family members.
