
Trimmer Billy R. Elliott Jr. of Hebron, Maryland, has died at age 74.
Billy was born on September 5, 1951 in Salisbury, Maryland. He was a retired pipe fitter with Plumbers & Steamfitters Union Local 486, as well as the proud owner and operator of Wild Bill’s Auto Upholstery in Delmar, Delaware.
The auto upholstery shop is where his craftsmanship and love for cars came together. “Billy had a lifelong passion for classic cars, especially Chevrolets,” his obituary says. “Whether he was working on them, talking about them, or simply admiring them, cars were something that always brought him joy.”
Outside of work, Billy was known as a funny guy who was deeply devoted to his family and friends.
Sadly, Billy died on March 7. He is survived by his daughter, Jody Lynn Elliott Mason; his grandchildren, A.J. Mason and Reilly Mason; his great-grandson, Andrew Justin “Drew” Mason Jr.; and many friends.
“Those who knew Billy will remember his strong work ethic, his love of classic cars, his unforgettable sense of humor, and the deep love he had for the people in his life,” his obituary adds. “He will be greatly missed by all who knew him”
