March 23, 2026 By Naseem Muaddi

The Hog Ring - SEMA FLN How to Start Your Own Auto Shop

If you’ve ever considered opening your own auto shop, this free SEMA webinar is for you!

SEMA’s Future Leaders Network (FLN) is hosting the event, which features shop owners who’ve built successful businesses sharing real-world insights on what it takes to start, run and grow a shop today. You’ll learn about the transition from employee to owner, building a strong team, navigating the realities of running a business, and more.

“Running an automotive shop today takes more than technical skill, it demands business strategy, customer insight, and the ability to adapt to an ever-changing industry,” reads the event description. “This live panel brings together three shop owners from very different corners of the automotive world to share what it really takes to build, grow, and sustain a successful shop.”

The event is moderated by Aly Oakley or BrakeQuip, and features panelists Tara Demuth of R&S Truck Caps, Zack Hampton of Chromotize, and Sara Morosan of LGE-CTS Motorsports.

The event will take place over Zoom on April 30, 2026 at 01:30 PM Eastern. To register, click here.
