A strange trend is sweeping America’s Southern states. Folks are covering their pickup trucks’ headliners in Confederate flags and sharing photos of their work via Facebook and Twitter.
It appears that most of the work is being done by DIY-ers, not auto upholstery shops. While some flags are glued to their boards, others are merely tucked into their cabins’ moldings.
In all fairness, this trend may have been going on for years. As a Northerner, I haven’t seen enough Confederate flags to know for sure. Here, the symbol is considered more controversial than cultural.
Regardless, I’m not a fan of the look. The flag’s bold colors often clash with the trucks’ interiors – which are usually gray or beige and boring. The end result is more tacky than eye catching.

Where in the Bible does it is saying that you are not saved and you are going to Hell if you own a confederate flag. I see what you are doing is trying to twist the Holy word of God to explain your reasoning. I’ll not use the Bible that way, because all you pointed out was that by being saved you can go to heaven, through Jesus Christ alone, not from any church, or any type of doctrine. The Confederate States of America are some of the biggest Chritians i know hence “the bible belt”. I have family that was in the Civil War on the KY 5th infantry CSA, Georgia 4th Calvery CSA and The Texas 5th infantry CSA.. I grew up in the most Southern Northern town there is. My town is where the KGC was founded and all of our streets are named after CSA generals.
Religion doesnt run hardcore where i live all the churches have turned into bars, clubs, houses, music studios and businesses. But my southern family are very Christian and southern proud. I fly the confederate battle flag on my front porch everyday. No im not Christian and no im not a bigot. I put camo material on a headliner a couple months ago, and we’re doing it again this week. Those looked good because we do it right. I’ve not been asked about a confederate flag. But we’d make sure it was a professional install if we did do one. I would, however, refuse to put an American Flag in the roof of a vehicle. I’m not going to deface my country’s image whether or not we have a president who doesn’t give a damn either way.
I have an 06 Chevy silverado extended cab that i want to put a flag for my headliner, but I’m not too sure what size my headliner is. I can’t afford to get it professionally done. Any advice?

Well I am glad to see there are people who know why the civil war was fought. It had nothing to do with slavery. In fact not all blacks were slaves, there were free blacks in those days. Hell!
