How NOT to Clean Auto Upholstery

March 22, 2012 By Nadeem Muaddi 13 Comments

If you’ve ever wondered what’s the quickest way to ruin a car’s interior, wonder no more. This old man did the unthinkable. He used a power washer to clean his car’s upholstery – leaving its seats, door panels, carpet and dashboard wet and ruined.  Not surprisingly, we’re inducting him into The Hog Ring‘s “Hall of Shame“.

Question: What’s the dumbest thing you’ve ever seen a customer do to his/her car interior?

Holy moly. Now using silicone, alcohol, and ammonia based products don’t seem so bad. Lol. The only thing that should be pressure washed is carpet, and seats! After being removed from vehicle of course, and let to dry before putting back in. Seats being all cloth of course.

Oh my God! If I took my car to a detailer and he did that, I’d kill him.

So what gives? That’s the same garage where two younger guys pressure washed an interior of a BMW or Merecedes or something like that (they were laughing and joking as they did it). These have to be flood cars or something.

I like how he goes back for the door panel not 2 but 3 times! Must have been some old gum stuck to it or something…

Well I can only think off two possibilities for engaging in such a foolish stunt. Either he found a skunk INSIDE his car or he just murdered a couple people and he’s making sure they don’t nab him on DNA evidence.
