DLT Upholstery Supply is back with another fantastic issue of “The Upholstery & Trim News” that’s chock-full of sales, promotions, product information and more! Like always, you can download your free copy here at The Hog Ring!
This month’s issue kicks off with an ode to tweed — that fabric everyone seems to have forgotten about. While we’ve all been focused on vinyl and leather, tweed has made some serious strides in quality and shade offerings. DLT explains what makes Duramax, the brand of tweed it stocks, so great:
Long a staple of classic restorations, tweed is beginning to be seen in more and more contemporary interior builds — and with good reason! A stylish tweed stands out from the crowd, showcasing a different personality than the common material choices, and making a statement that this trimmer and owner are not going to go with the crowd; they will do their own thing! […]
Made in the USA, Duramax is a 54-inch wide, 100% polyolefin woven tweed with an acrylic backing. Duramax boasts a 250,000 double rub score, is chemically inert, non-allergenic, non-absorbent, and mildew and static resistant. In addition, Duramax passes the CAL 117, UFAC Class 1, and NFPA 260 flame resistance standards, making it safe for a variety of uses.
“The Upholstery & Trim News” continues with some big announcements, including new Nassimi Promo sample books and a blow-out sale on rolls of bias (binding). If you do boat tops, make sure to also check out DLT’s handy chart on brand changes at Marlen Textiles.
Lastly, DLT has released more details on its second annual “Open House” to be held June 6 – 7, 2014. Mark it on your calendars!

Love DLT, Geoff is easy to work with. Dura tweed is great as well. I use it all the time for auto and home applications! Far superior to the tweed I used before hand and the tweed I am replacing it with! Thanks DLT and The Hog Ring – you have both been indispensable to me!!
Thanks everyone! Great to hear!
